About Me
I was the operator. Now I'm out front.
I'm Diane Corriette, and for most of my career I was the operator — the person behind the scenes who ran everything. I built other people's websites, systems and online presence while they stood at the front. I was good at it, and it paid well.
I don't talk about money much, but I'll be plain about it, because people keep mistaking me for a beginner: I've made good money, over and over. I'm not waiting to make my first £5k. I've done that several times. The catch was always the same, though - every penny came from selling my time. The day I stopped, the money stopped.
So this is what I'm building now: monthly recurring income from a single site selling digital products. No stage, no teaching, no group coaching - nothing that trades my hours for income, unless I choose to. A handful of sites that sell on their own, and a small group of people who genuinely love what I do. My 1,000 true fans.
To build it, I had to come out from behind the screen. At 57 I learned to code and built Djangify, the system my sites run on, with AI as my assistant. Now I'm the one out front — building in public and documenting the climb, wins and mistakes both left in. Not a five-year plan. Just the next thing, in service of owning something that's finally mine.
What I Do
Three things. All of them real.
Developer & Builder
I build with Python, Django, Flask, and TailwindCSS. My focus is clean, self-hosted, offline-friendly tools — software people can actually own, not rent. I build and maintain projects under the Djangify organisation on GitHub.
Founder of Djangify
Djangify is an eCommerce system for professionals who sell knowledge, expertise and digital products. Available as managed hosting at £12/month or a one-time self-hosted purchase. Built so creators own their store, their data, and their profits — with no platform taking a cut of every sale.
Personal Growth Coach
27 years coaching — NLP Master Practitioner and EFT. I coach through Inspirational Guidance, which I built from nothing and now run on the system I built myself — proof the "just the next thing" approach works. My superpower is making people feel seen, and I don't manufacture it. It happens when I show up as myself.
The Path
Building online since before most people called it that.
I've been here a long time. Not performing longevity — actually building things, selling things, learning things, and starting again when I needed to.
Came online
Started selling products and building websites, and going to internet marketing seminars to work out how digital business actually fits together.
Went professional — WordPress & digital marketing
Started building with WordPress — first as a blogger, then putting up sites for clients. Built a social network for the Dominican diaspora that grew to over 8,000 members before selling it. Ran membership sites, workshops, and talked to audiences about blogging and online business.
Workshop: University of West Indies, Dominica
Gave a 90-minute workshop to authors and writers on how to use the internet to promote their books — covering blogging, video, and social media marketing.
Diploma in Digital Marketing — Digital Marketing Institute

Sold up. Deleted everything. Stepped back.
After years of building for other people, I sold my WordPress client list, deleted every site and my entire social media presence, and stepped back. A deliberate clean break.
Retraining as a software developer
Enrolled in the Full Stack Software Development Diploma at Code Institute — a deliberate, focused decision to get the formal skills that matched what I was already doing intuitively. Specialisation: eCommerce.
Graduated with Merit. Started building.
Graduated Full Stack Software Developer (eCommerce) with Merit in March 2024. Verify credential → Built Stream English — an eCommerce site — and started building other tools, while continuing to learn Django.
Built Djangify.
After building a few eCommerce sites, I got tired of starting from scratch each time — better to have one system that builds sites automatically. With Claude.ai as my assistant, I built my own eCommerce system. It's grown into a place to run an independent digital business, and I run my own sites on it now, in beta.
Building The Coach Who Codes
Rebuilding my authority and visibility as a developer, and re-establishing myself as a coach — in public. Now focused on helping professionals over 50 use AI in their business and sell digital products, while running the 1000 True Fans experiment on the system I built.

The Human Bit
The things that don't fit neatly on a CV.
My parents were from Dominica — a small island in the Caribbean — and that heritage shaped how I think about community, about showing up for people, and about building things that actually belong to the people who use them. The social network I built in 2009 was for the Dominican diaspora. When you want to connect people who are scattered across the world and far from home, you build something real or you don't bother.
I'm an INFJ. The profile says: "Fuelled by a profound internal passion. Stimulated by deep, reflective thought and an enormous amount of empathy. Conscientious to the core, they move through life with a clear sense of their values." That's accurate. It's also why I coach as well as build — the two things aren't separate for me.
I write. I have flash fiction and poetry going back years, self-published ebooks on self-confidence, paperback notebooks on Amazon, and GCSE study books. I also sell non-fiction. Writing and building are both just different ways of making something from nothing, and I've never really been able to stop doing either.
"My superpower is making people feel seen, and I don't manufacture it — it just happens when I show up as myself."
I've been in rooms full of people performing success while quietly wondering if I was the only one who didn't have it figured out. I'm not talking at people when I say that. I'm talking to them. That's where everything I build comes from — not a strategy, just who I am.
