If you have ever searched for stock images of women and felt frustrated by what you found, you are not alone - especially women over 30, women of colour, and women working in tech, creative, or independent roles.
That’s exactly why I’ve added a new free image gallery to my site. I use AI to help me create the kinds of images I want to see. These have been created mainly using ChatGPT or Canva AI.
What’s in the gallery?
The new gallery features a small collection of free-to-download images of diverse women, created to be genuinely useful for:
- Blogs and personal websites
- Creative projects
- Educational resources
- Presentation slides or written content
These images focus on women who feel real - thoughtful, capable, professional, creative.

Why I created these images
As someone who builds and maintains multiple websites, I’m constantly looking for imagery that:
Feels calm and modern
Represents women realistically
Works well for long-form content, not just marketing banners
Doesn’t look like it’s been pulled from the same stock library everyone else is using
I also know that not everyone wants (or can justify) paying for stock photography, especially for personal projects, learning sites, or early-stage ideas.
This gallery is part of a broader intention behind To Diane:
to quietly share practical resources that make independent work a little easier.
How you can use them
You’re welcome to use these free images of diverse women in tech for:
Blog posts and articles
Portfolio or project pages
Educational content
Creative or personal websites
They’re provided as-is, without signup or gates.
If you find them useful, all I ask is that you don’t resell them as stock images themselves.

I hope they are helpful.
